Fun Fact #2:  Charmaine Panko and her husband stand up comedian Dez Reed have 11 children ranging in age from 6 to 26 (plus one grandchild and a second on the way!)  Fun Fact #3:  Charmaine Panko articled at Balfour Moss LLP. Balfour Moss LLP merged with the national law firm of Miller Thomson LLP where Charmaine continued to practice until starting her own firm in the fall of 2015.

Charmaine Panko practices in the field of conflict resolution as a collaborative lawyer, mediator, arbitrator, and trainer. Charmaine has assisted in the resolution of legal disputes of all types from corporate commercial to family and estates matters.  She uses a common sense approach to legal disputes focusing on the needs and interests of the parties.  Her approach is informative and client centred, presenting win-win options for those in the midst of a legal dispute.   

Charmaine has a passion for legal education and is a sessional lecturer for the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan as well as regularly presenting legal information seminars to the general public.  She is a volunteer lawyer for the Public Legal Education Association (PLEA) Request a Speaker Program and received the 2013 Cam Partridge Memorial PLEA Volunteer of the Year Award.  Charmaine also received the 2011 Lexpert Zenith “Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award” http://www.probonostudents.ca/about-pbsc/alumni-and-volunteer-profiles/charmaine-panko.

Charmaine volunteers with ProBono Students Canada and as a mentor with the CBA student mentoring program. In 2008 she received the 2008 Pro Bono Service award from the Law Society of Saskatchewan http://www.lawsociety.sk.ca/media/19706/BD%202009%20Aug.pdf.

Charmaine is actively involved in the community and is currently on the board of directors for the ADR Institute of Saskatchewan.  She has been involved in many legal education events, such as the following:
